1.Tell us about 28 Degrees and what guests can expect when they visit.
The guest house was built after two years of living in the original blue house to see where the light touched and understand how the property felt. Once we were ready, the blue house was moved to a local farm, painted green and 28 Degrees was built. The guesthouse is furnished and styled with pieces I have carefully selected.

2.How would you like guests to feel after they visit 28 degrees?
The reason we have no TV’s, and no children is so our guests can fully relax, explains Deb. From the drip coffee provided in your room to the granola you need to construct in the morning, it all helps you to slow down. All aspects of 28 Degrees have been thought through to offer space and time. Take a bike ride, go and have a swim and lunch by the sea, or head out for a fun evening but come back to a peaceful environment. We have guests that stay for a couple of nights and by the time they leave looked rested, happy and relaxed.
What are some of the highlight’s visitors can enjoy when the visit Byron Bay?
Air ballooning with the mountain ranges and ocean as your backdrop is a must-do. Or kayak to Julian Rocks, or sky diving - for the thrill seekers. And of course, walking or running to the lighthouse, being the most eastern point of Australia, it’s an icon.
4.Can you recommend any must-visit restaurants or Byron Bay secret spots we should know about?
When booking you will receive a welcome email with “Deb’s Favourites” a list of some great places to dine in Byron. It contains a list of restaurants selected that have great food and a really good wine and cocktail list! Bookings are always essential. One of these is Beach, a restaurant on the water with arguably the best view in town and of course great food and a good wine list.
