Legacy Society Membership The Legacy Society of the Eau Claire Community Foundation (ECCF) welcomes individuals and families who have made provisions for a gift to the Independence Public School Memorial Scholarship Fund (IPSMSF), which is administered by the ECCF, in their estate plans. Thank you for allowing the ECCF to assist you in carrying out your philanthropic goals. Non-binding Statement of Intent I have included ECCF in my estate plans in this way: My/Our will or trust designates a portion of my/our estate to the Independence Public School Memorial Scholarship Fund of the ECCF. I/We have created a Charitable Trust with the Independence Public School Memorial Scholarship Fund of the ECCF as the beneficiary. I/We are interested in setting up a fund at the ECCF now or with my/our estate. I/We have named the Independence Public School Memorial Scholarship Fund of the ECCF as a beneficiary of an IRA, insurance policy, and/or annuity. I/We wish to remain anonymous.
How We Started Everything
School District of Independence The mission of the Independence School District is, “We will maximize learning for all students,” and its vision is, “Everyone, every day.”
E V E RYO N E , E V E RY DAY.
In 1999, the Independence Education Foundation leaders established a scholarship to fulfill their mission and vision by supporting Independence students’ continuing education. In 2014, the Independence Education Foundation merged with the Eau Claire Community Foundation to create the Independence Public School Memorial Scholarship Fund, an endowment to ensure a long-term scholarship for the post-secondary education of Independence students. The Fund and its goal remain the same, but it is now safeguarded and administered by ECCF. The purpose of the Independence Memorial Scholarship Fund is to encourage students to become more engaged in their community and school, as well as support their continuing education, with the hope that their recipients will extend similar generosity to students in future generations.
