Avantrict started as a restaurant-art gallery combination located in urban areas, which inspired its name. The name was formed by fusing avant-garde and district. The design was made to be clean and simple in form while portraying modern elegance that makes a statement.

ALPINE TREK DESCRIPTION

Alpine Trek is a hiking club that helps individuals connect and find locations to hike and explore. The icon set was created to give the user an idea of the difficulty of a particular trail as well as a time estimate and if a certain trail has a scenic area. These icons were designed to be used in the applications. The logo was designed to have a strong, eyecatching presence. The mountain in the design includes stairs on one side as a hint about the purpose of Alpine Trek.

SWEET THING DESCRIPTION Sweet Thing is a sugar free sweet shop with a name and logo that is meant to be playful and fun. The three sweets used in the logo were also used to create a pattern that can can be used on packaging, table tents, and other items. A sans serif with rounded edges was chosen to compliment the border of the logo. All of the elements combined add up to a brand that may lack in sugar but surely does not lack in flavor or an enjoyable experience for anyone that steps through the door.

GREENLING DESCRIPTION Greenling is an educational application that teaches children what plants need to survive and allows them to grow their own. Currently, most similar apps teach children the process that plants go through when growing starting at pollination. These apps also make the process into more of a race. The goal of Greenling is to give children a more personal experience by being able to grow their own v and unlock more level and Greenlings along the way.

Abby and Paige is a mobile veterinary clinic that provides their patients with vaccinations, checkup, and other services. The challenge was to create an identity that is distinctly different from those that already exist and provide the user with information that is easy to identify. The cat and dog facing the same direction is mean to give the feeling of unity while the color palette was chosen to reflect a calm and postive experience.

PLANO DESCRIPTION Since 1952 Plano Molding has been creating quality storage solutions, the goal of this design was to refresh the image of the company. Since this is a well established brand, the new design was meant to be similar enough to the original but still gibe the company’s image new life. The logo was inspired by the boxes that Plano makes best, while keeping the color palette and rounded edges that exist on the current logo. A pattern was created from the negative space in the logo which was used on a shipping box and landing page for their website.

Approximately 120,000 people are in need of an organ transplant. A single donor can save up to 8 lives and while most people in the US support organ donation, not many know how to become a donor or do not know all the facts. The goal is this ad is to compel Americans to become donors and also set the record straight about organ donation and clear up any myths that individuals may have about this that keeps them from donating.

Precision Mold Builders is a company that specializes in making plastic parts using injection molding. The logo was inspired by the edge of a mold, which is the cornerstone of PMB. The main type was chosen for its angles and constructed look that paired well with each side of the mold. A website was created that provides the viewer with more information about PMB and how to get in contact with them.

L A K E WA P PA P E L LO DESCRIPTION Lake Wappapello State Park offers many activities all while being surrounded by beautiful scenery. The identity of Lake Wappapello was designed to showcase what the park has to offer and set it apart from other Missouri state parks. Each of the three components were made to give the park a life of it’s own; drawing visitors in and offering visitors information on what Lake Wappapello State Park is all about.

FA R O U T DESCRIPTION This project started off as a rebrand for and local pizza shop. The direction for that was space age designs of the 1950’s which soon evolved into an entirely new project. Far Out was inspired by the vernacular, color palette, patterns, furniture and architecture of the 1970’s as well as the lingering space age design styles of the 50’s . The goal was to give consumers a unique dining experience that differs from other pizza establishments.
