VOLUMETRIC VESSELS
4|
The name of the painting is Nature Morte aux Nombreux Objets by the artist and architect Le Corbusier. This was created in 1923, during the cubism period. The meaning of his painting is supposed to illustrate the Still Life with many objects. His intention for this painting was purity and simplicity. Le Corbusier loved to brake his own rule when it comes to this painting. The object seems completely flat or as they said “without relief but in one object towards the bottom there’s a brown glass that gives the impression that we are seeing it in two different angles.

What I want my project to be representing are Natural elements given by the pallet I created. The fact that the name of the painting is Still Life, and the meaning behind that is purity, I want to stay true to it. I want natural elements, natural color, natural shapes, natural movement, all based, or with the help of water. The way each shape will be represented due to the color palette, it will identify my shapes and their role; the way water acts, the way the water takes shape, what would be excavations for water or what would be a part of the landscape.

Here we found the centroid of each shape and marked it in the char. Along with that, we also separated the shapes and created individual charts, to better understand their location.

These are axonometric drawings determining the place of my vessels located by the painting’s background, mid-ground, and for-ground.

Containers: To hold and shape Water Movement of Water
This is the concept formation where I illustrate where I took my shapes from and the change between shape to vessels. From there I grouped them in 3 categories of Natural color for the landscape, Containers which would be used to hold and shape the water for my bath house, and lastly, the movement of water. Neutral Colors: Landscape

This is the first model we made based on the location of my vessel that was provided to me based on the orientation of the painting and it’s corresponding shape. When making the order of where my vessel I placed them corresponding on background, mid-ground, and for-ground that was given to me by the paining.

This study is representing an idea of where my vessels will be placed, but not only where they will be placed but also defining the idea of connecting my vessel into landscape and began to manipulate it’s surroundings and how it would create a space within a space.

This study is an iterative process. I recorded every single one of the adjustments performed to the site by making duplicates of the model to outline previous move. This procedure will permit me to archive my site intercessions in consecutive order.

BATH HOUSE
20 |
Healing and remedy are why my bathhouse was created. Relating it back to the Still Life painting, my painting is all about the natural aspect and it’s purity. I was inspire about my paining to make a bathhouse for adults to relax and get natural remedy and rejuvenate. When going through my bathhouse, you’re hit with a great sense of relaxation, and a great reason for that is the soothing water movements that happen while traveling from bath to baths! I created different multiple baths that will be give you a different set of relaxation and will add to your rejuvenation experience.

This is the entrance of my bath house. When designing the entrance I kept the concept true to the Volumetric Vessel and the bath house. One aspect that I knew I wanted from the volumetric vessel part of this project was the connection from my vessel into landscape. In this perspective you see a panel and the vessel going underground.

Going deeper into the site you are welcomed into the Aroma steam therapy room. This room isn’t only used for enlarging your pores but because of the aroma infused into this room, it help clears out your nostrils and your lunges, all with natural substance, like essential oil. Along with heated stones that when you are walking through the room, hit different pressure points on your feet for better blood circulation as well.
Right after the aroma steam therapy, you are lead to the mud mineral bath. This bath is essential for the whole healing and remedy portion of the bath house. Since you just came from a room filled with steam, the mineral are entering your body beginning the process of rejuvenation. This view doesn’t only provided very neutral colors that came from my color pallet, but there’s also a hint of stone wall to still give the experience of nature in a closed room and recall the aspect of the cliff as well.

After your mineral mud bath, you are lead up to the hot mineral bath. This is the most important bath. This bath is filled with rich water that helps variation of conditions like arthritis and wrinkles as one relax. These are accomplished by the mineral and substance being lead into the body with 114.8 ° F hot water. This view also provides a hint of an infinite pool with panels that work for structural aspect of the Bath House and given a hint of greenery for a sense of nature.
