What exactly is “typical Kalkhoff”? A whole lot! There are countless arguments in our favour, and innumerable qualities which set us apart from our competitors. We would like to summarise the most important ones for you here.

Our toughest critics are the people in our quality inspection department. We have one of the most modern test centres in Europe, and our engineers monitor this centrepiece of our produc- tion. They test practically everything – from the frame and fork to the crank. Quality controls are carried out throughout the production process. Once assembled, each bike undergoes a 100% functional check. Everything is done in Germany, by us – from concept and development through to production on site. For some that may be something exceptional. For us it is simply what we do.
One of the golden rules for any cyclist is a daily reality for us: you don’t get anywhere by standing still. Certainly not when you are an innovation leader. The fact that we are constantly reinventing two wheels has helped us become one of the most respected bike manufacturers. The latest examples: our Impulse Evo and the sophisticated shift sensor technology. So not only do we ensure progress, we also stay an idea ahead. immer eine Idee voraus.
2. EVERYTHING MUST HARMONISE Too many cooks spoil the broth. We take this adage to the nth degree: unlike other bike manu- facturers, we develop our bicycles ourselves. So we offer bikes in which everything harmonises perfectly, and which ensure consistently perfect riding characteristics coupled with the highest level of innovation. Take the e-bike for instance: we develop the drive systems in-house, individ- ually for each type of bike, and in an appealing design. It is simply a coherent overall concept – right down to the last detail.
4. COMFORT? NO PROBLEM! Cycling has a lot to do with relaxation. But you can only relax when everything interacts as smoothly as possible. We offer our customers concepts which ensure exactly that – total comfort. These include ergonomic grips and controls, comfortable saddles and high-quality suspension forks and seatposts. The result: problem-free riding comfort.
5. SERIAL TEST WINNER Does success breed idleness? On the contrary – it inspires us. As proud as we are of our regular test wins, we’re certainly not resting on our laurels. After all, every award is also an acknowledgement of our hard work. And the motivation to keep developing the best bikes.

HYDROFORMED TRIPLE BUTTED Frame // For the frame, the aluminium tubes are formed in a complex process in an enclosed mould with the aid of a water/oil emulsion and an internal pressure of up to 3,000 bar. The controlled deformation of the frame tube enables us to produce up to three different wall thicknesses within the piece. This creates a frame that combines optimal strength and low weight.* 2. OPTIMISED DROPOUT // The innovative dropout is adapted to meet the most varied requirements – whether compatibility with Rohloff hub gears, a belt drive, concealed pannier rack mount or integrated stand support. The result: highly functional solutions with a particularly tidy and clean look.

What's more, every one of our bikes is produced individually and is hand-welded.
Cyclists measuring between 1.90 m and 2.22 m in height feel comfortable on these bikes, which have been specially designed for taller people.

Classic men's frame offering the ideal combination of a solid, lightweight and sporty design.
Sporty type with highly stable frame, low weight and a dynamic streak.
Universally popular – the Wave frame combines comfort and safe ride characteristics.
The sporty frame geometry is particularly popular with young cyclists. A distinctive feature of the Y-type is its generous standover clearance.
The low, downward curving top tube is ideal for town cycling, where you have to get on and off your bike quite often.
Aluminium frame in traditional look, easy to get on.
FRAME SIZE The correct frame height directly influences your sitting position and thereby the ride quality and comfort. Here it is not just body size that plays a role, but this can serve as the starting point for finding the correct frame height. Likewise, your individual ratios of upper body, arm and leg length are decisive in choosing the correct frame size. Ideally you should seek advice from a specialist dealer and have yourself measured. This will help you work out your sizes and adjust your bike or the handlebar and saddle positions to fit you perfectly.
