With our introduction of the E-Getaway last year, STEVENS created a completely new E-Gravel category. It is a sporty, light and fast bike with drop handlebars that possesses the off-road capability of our cross bikes. The frame geometry allows for a more relaxed riding position than on a classic road bike. We’ve also integrated the very light Fazua Evation drive (4.6 kg), which provides solid support on the uphills while improving handling on the flats and descents due to its low weight. Ambitious cyclists know that you rarely ride a racing or gravel bike at a speed below 25 km/h, unless you are going uphill. And that is exactly where the additional e-power is welcome. It’s also welcome on sporty commutes to work if you don't want to arrive completely sweaty. The following maxim applies to the E-Getaway: As little weight as possible, as much electric power as necessary.

This basic LED display in the top tube perfectly matches the minimalistic-light Fazua drive. All that is displayed is the all-important battery charge status. Other than this, no other data is shown that can distract the rider from keeping all focus on the road ahead. This frees the rider up for enjoying the super-responsive handling of the E-Getaway.

FITTING

When it comes to ergonomics, two highlights come together here - from Shimano the GRX brake/shift levers and from STEVENS' own brand Oxygen the new E-Scorpo Aero Gravel handlebar. The former nestles perfectly in your hands and can be operated intuitively, while the latter enables a comfortable sitting posture with a drop of only 122 mm and the slightly flared lower section. Perfect for enduring tours over rough gravel roads.

35 mm high carbon rims with an aero profile and the smooth Schwalbe G-One Allround tyres make a first-class pairing when you want to ride fast on a wide variety of track types. Stiffness and puncture protection are by no means neglected.

DETERMINED

The Shimano GRX rear derailleur transfers well-known Ultegra qualities into the gravel bike category. This ensures that every single shifting operation is perfect, even through rough off-road terrain. Tip: before leaving the tarmac road, quickly move the small lever to "On" to avoid unintentional chain slapping.
