INTERVIEW WITH ZYNIC BY GUILLERMO CORONEL:
For the beginning could you give us a short introduction about your career as a Biography for all the readers in Argentina? Thanks. Hi there and thanks for your interest in my music. I started out as keyboarder and back vocalist in several local bands, but soon decided to dig deeper into electronics. After years of experiments with analogue synths i started to take music more serious and started ZYNIC in 2008. Some compilation tracks, two EPs and two albums followed and here we arE.
As a German electronic musician, Do you think that is a responsibility develop an electronic music in your country When the most important and famous i Electronic musicians were born? We sure got some fantastic electronic artists in Germany and a lot of history going on with bands like Kraftwerk, but that shouldn't put pressure on you. It's important to have fun with what you're doing and not to look too far ahead, if you start planning to much your songs won't sound the same.
How would you describe Zynic's music? Zynic is a 80s based synthpop project with a modern touch, very melodic and a bit strange sometimes. It's retropop for the future.
Is Zynic a Solo project? Yes, Zynic is just me, myself and i when it's about songwriting and the basics of the songs. All fine-tuning, mixing and vocalrecording is done together with studiowizzard Olaf Wollschl채ger who also produced the latest Mesh album.
Do you usually invite guest musicians? We had Hannes from german band Lendgold on guitars to get a bigger sound for some tracks and Olaf played Accordion on Paradise Falls that was fun to record
Tell us about your new album, When will be released? You can get a copy of the new album BLINDSIDED since the end of may in all the big stores like amazon, iTunes and hopefully in an indie store near you.
What is the difference between BLINDSIDED and FIRE WALK WITH ME? Well, FIRE WALK WITH ME was a look back at the 80s music that influenced me as a songwriter and also had a lot of quotes from that decade. BLINDSIDED is a way more personal album, dealing with hard times i was going through when i wrote most of the songs.

Are there German lyrics in Zynic Band? There are some German lyrics but not on a record yet. Check out my Facebook page, you can find a song by German punk band DIE Ă„RZTE that i covered years ago. It was only on early promos and finally appeared a few weeks ago.
My personal kryptonite: Is it a love song? Or How Would You define it? Haha! no it's more the opposite of that. Imagine you get stuck in an elevator with the most stupid person you know. It's an antilovesong like DEAD END on the new album.
