1552. What is a star (or sky) for an astronomer and what is it for a poet, and which of the two is right? To an astronomer, the sky is an empty, desolate space that embodies a kind of algebra (or geometry). To a poet, stars are shimmering messages that create melancholy emotions, or symbols of eternity and order above a transient, forever changing world. Again we have two truths. what should one teach a child first: a beautiful poem about the moon or astronomic information about it? Notes from Prison, 1983-1988 Alija Izetbegović

Atarazana is an old Spanish word, meaning shipyard or dockyard. The word has originated from the Arabic word (dár aṣṣiná‘a) which translates literally to “House of industry” and is used to refer to industrial plants and factories. The initial choice for the project was to be a Housing building/s that later, in the process, evolved to include a cultural centre, commercial facilities and a variety of public spaces in a collective complex of buildings. this development resulted from intensive analysis to the location and its particular nature. The context is in front of one of the two centres of Hamburg’s nightlife and close to the city’s major red-light district. In German, it is also nicknamed die sündigste Meile (the most sinful mile) and density is a key component of the culture of this area. recently two housing buildings were demolished in the same location which triggered numerous demonstrations against gentrification. 2019 Hamburg, Germany

Role in Design: The design process was carried out naturally by both of us simultaneously, yet it can be argued that I had more influence on the analysis and the spacial solutions than the forming and the stylistic choices. Role in Execution: I was in charge of all the Revit and Photoshop drawings while my teammate did the AutoCAD drawings and the physical model. *All drawings presented here are realized by myself.

An experimentation on the notion of augmented reality allowing it to dominate the architectural design in an attempt to liberate architecture from architects. The location is in Milan not far from the center though it has a prticular sense of seclusion. The designed aimes to create an undefined space that can be an extension to the city inside the house where a resedential space exists only on a higher level. Spaces can be shared and redesigned with an opportunity to print the designs in an open gallery. the bulding can host temporary open galleries completely mangable using a mobile application.

this is a proposal for a public Library in Milan done in a one month international Workshop. the work was done under the supervision of Prof. Arch. Georg W. Reinberg. The building design itself succeeded passively in reducing the energy consumption from nonrenewable resources to the half by ensuring an efficient daylighting infiltration, material selection reducing the CO2 emissions and shading techniques. the presented diagram of Monthly energy costs using Sefaira software shows good results for reducing costs while the reality of it is the cost of nonrenewable energy is even lower than it is being stated by almost 30% which is considered a very good achievement using passive design techniques. 2017 Milan, Italy

The project proposed an art and cultural center for a non-profit organization called Marefa (fb.com/marefa) instead of using such a central area as the main prison of Mansoura city as it is being used right now. The majority of the spaces were placed to be earth sheltered leaving most of the plot as a public space for communal use. The library is sunken to integrate with the surrounding public space as a stage for concerts or major events.

During the design process, the best thermal orientation was achieved, in addition to an efficient daylight penetration to maintain an energy efficient building design, moreover a window cross-section was designed to reduce the annual heating and cooling loads from 56,149 WH using the ordinary glazing systems to 31,239 WH by fashioning a double glazing system with wool curtains in between the glass layers all framed with timber frames.
