In Spanish there are four forms for the definite article and four forms for the indefinite article: Definite article (the): el (masculine, singular) la (feminine, singular) los (masculine, plural) las (feminine, plural)

Indefinite article (a, an, some) un (masculine, singular) una (feminine, singular) unos (masculine, plural) unas (feminine, plural)

Remember: feminine singular (only singular!) nouns that begin with an emphasised a or ha use the masculine form of the article: el agua – las aguas el haba – las habas

In Spanish we tend to use the defininte article with body parts and clothes when in English you say “my”: me lavo la cara me he roto la mano no encuentro la bufanda
