Strengthen Cross-sector Leadership

Perinatal Substance Use Disorder (PSUD) Support

Early Childhood Action Strategy (ECAS) Team 1 partners, working with Hawai‘i Pacific University and the Healthcare Association of Hawai‘i, are creating a web-based, interdisciplinary training for providers who work with people who have perinatal substance use disorders.

To date, the project team has completed two on-line training modules. The first module provides an overview of Caring for Pregnant and Postpartum People with Substance Use Disorder. The second module addresses Medication for Opioid Use Disorder for Pregnant and Postpartum Persons.

Contributors to modules 1 and 2 include:

The team is currently working to develop modules 3 and 4.
