HOW IT WORKS australian pathways and english for academic purposes

ABOUT THE PROGRAM Australian Pathways offers you a flexible way to enter an Australian university or college. You will have access to Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees, as well as Diplomas and Post-Graduate certificates.

ENGLISH TEST Take our English Test on: www.ecenglish.com/en/englishtest and find out your English level.

REQUIRED LEVEL The minimum required level to start the Pathways program is Intermediate or IELTS score minimum 5.0. If required, you can take the General English course until you reach Upper-Intermediate. Intensive English – 28 lessons (23.3 hours per week). If you decide to take Intensive English, you will progress 1 level every 10 weeks.

AUSTRALIAN PATHWAYS & ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES PROGRAM The program is offered solely as Intensive and is comprised of 28 lessons (23.3 hours per week).

COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS SUPPORT Our teams on campus are committed to helping you succeed at your chosen university. You will receive personal guidance and support in determining your current English level, and helping you reach the required level of English to join your chosen university or college. This ensures that you will leave EC with the language skills you need to understand lectures, respond with the correct language to assignments, take notes and converse confidently with your peers.

EXPERIENCE UNIVERSITY LIFE As our campuses in Australia are shared with Charles Sturt University you will also get to partially experience a university environment and have the chance to interact with international university students.

1CHOOSE YOUR PROGRAM An EC approved agent can arrange this for you. You can skip this step if you wish and decide later on in your EAP journey where you wish to study after completing the program.

2ONLINE ENGLISH TEST Take the online English test (25 multiple choice questions) on our EC website: www.ecenglish.com/en/englishtest along with our writing test. Or supply evidence of your recent IELTS score with your application. 3 REACH YOUR ENGLISH GOAL Improve your English skills in one of our EC schools in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

4ENTER COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY Once you reach the required English level, enter a university or college without IELTS/Cambridge test results.

5ENJOY YOUR NEW FUTURE Your new skills and qualification will open the doors to your new future!
