ZINE 1 is a refugee-written platform for expression in the midst of uncertainty, an attempt to control one’s own narrative when circumstances and bureaucracy are wearing away at that right. Instead of an identity based in police paperwork, asylum applications, or case numbers, ZINE 1is composed of poetry, art, and personal narratives. It is that age-old rebel yell for humanity, this time coming from the hotspot camp on Leros, Greece. Find ZINE 2 here: https://issuu.com/echo100plus/docs/web_2
It is produced by Echo100Plus at The Hub – a community center on the island of Leros – where refugees are safe and welcome to attend classes and activities. To donate to Echo100Plus visit: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/the-e-hub-leros/
