Livestock is the No. 1customer of soybean meal, consuming 98% fo the soybean meal produced in the U.S. Livestock is the No. 1customer of corn, consuming just over 40% of the corn crop produced in the U.S.
The livestock sector contributes more than $16.4 billion to Minnesota’s economy.
Calling all Open Class contestants!
Open Class contests are open to anyone of any age who lives in Douglas County or throughout Minnesota. Categories include canning, painting, vegetable growing, homemade beer and many more.
This year, pre-registration is required for open class entries because of social distancing concerns. There is an online registration system at www.dcmnfair. com/openclass.
Paper entry forms are available at this same webpage and must be
received by Aug. 10 to ensure being able to exhibit at the fair.
