2019 FOREIGN DELEGATIONS
CHINESE DELEGATION 1/8/2019
The Economic Alliance partnered with EHCMA, ExxonMobil and Port Houston to host a delegation of 12 from the Huizhou Industrial Park in China.
John Mosely of Port Houston provided a tour of the port logistics facilities and petrochemical plants in the region. EHCMA representatives provided them with a brief overview of the petrochem industry in our region and a general understanding environmental permitting and emissions regulations.
Discussions included opportunities to partner with the local Chinese government on the project and workforce development strategies for both countries. The delegation was keenly interested in gaining a better understanding of the Houston Port Region’s petrochemical complex (area including ship channel, Bayport, all major refinery and large chemical plants) and how government and private sector works together in the U.S.
ROMANIAN DELEGATION 3/12/2019
The Economic Alliance Houston Port Region and the EMET – Economic Alliance Romania signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for short and long-term exchanges between the two parties to harness and enhance collaborative and cooperative initiatives for the benefit of both regions.
EGYPTIAN DELEGATION 7/12/2019
The Economic Alliance hosted an Energy Trade group from Egypt. Which was sponsored through the US State Department and Bi-Lateral Arab Chamber of Commerce.
The group met at the San Jacinto College Maritime Center and discussed an overview of the Economic Alliance trade mission.
