There is only one such night of the year, Midsummer Night, when an unusual fern blossom blooms deep into the forest. The one who finds him will receive great wealth and countless treasures.

Therefore, every year people went on the night of Saint John to the forest in search of a flourishing fern. Among them was Piotr, who was looking for an unusual flower for the fourth year. He was already tired and sleepy, for he had been walking for hours, when suddenly he saw a bright stain among the leaves. He came closer and was speechless. Before him, a beautiful flower was growing among the moss and ferns. When he bent to break it, he heard a whisper: - Your patience has been rewarded. You will be very rich. But you must remember that you can't share your wealth with anyone, otherwise you will lose everything. "Why should I share?" The boy growled under his breath and picked up a flower.

He did not return to his hometown. He set off to the world, buying everything he dreamed of. He built a magnificent palace surrounded by a beautiful garden and lived peacefully, with everything in abundance. Several years passed and one day he decided to visit his hometown.

From a distance he saw his parents' cottage, they were overworked and very old. He escaped from there, hidden in his golden carriage, unrecognized by anyone. He continued to lead a prosperous life, but nothing pleased him anymore.

However, it was too late - the parents were dead. The young man sat on the threshold of the old house and said to himself: - For what it was rich, I'm lonely and so unhappy. Gold is worth nothing if you can't share it with anyone. And then he cried bitterly.
