Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Joel 2: 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”

INTRODUCTION the outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurs in the last days at the time of the harvest or gathering together of godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s people The outpouring of the holy spirit is NOT a singular event & includes the spirit of grace and supplication, the former rain & the latter rain It is Christ who baptizes us with the holy ghost & fire during the end of time

Spirit of grace & supplication The spirit of Grace and supplication leads a person to repentance (Zechariah 12: 10) Though there are saints that are currently obeying the law, god has a multitude of children that are still blind to the truth This outpouring will open their eyes & cause them to see god for who he is They will repent from their sins and turn from their wicked ways

The former rain Once a person has repented for their sins & begins to walk in the laws they are then ready for the former rain, which is the time of atonement This means that god will permanently remove the evil root, which is the knowledge of evil & the desire to sin He will forgive his children of their sins God will place his laws & testimonies within the hearts of his children so that they will obey him without fail

The latter rain The latter rain, which is the final rain, includes the gift of immortality The gift of immortality entails the removal of death from our actual flesh The latter rain will fall first on the 144,000 as they are the first fruits, the first of Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s children to be delivered in the last days (See class on first fruits)

The latter rain The latter rain will then be poured upon the remaining saints that are living during that time For those saints that have already died prior to the last days, they will receive the latter rain at the time of the first resurrection

A look at history to understand the future There was a great outpouring of the holy spirit upon the apostles during the time of pentecost Their faith was then stronger than ever and they preached the gospel with power & great miracles The holy spirit began to spread to other people of all nations and they began to repent for their sins & serve the lord Eventually Jerusalem was destroyed and the truth fell

a time of darkness We now live in a time of darkness....a time of famine This is because the truth has not been heard throughout the world since the fall of jerusalem Only pockets of people are currently aware of & keeping the truth Instead, the religious systems of the world have taken over, spreading false doctrine & deceiving the people

A time of light & truth We look forward to the last days when god will pour out his holy spirit like in the time of the apostles but it will be on a much larger scale Just as the apostles preached the gospel the truth will be preached again but it will be the everlasting gospel The everlasting gospel is the teaching of godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s holy laws & testimonies....it is everything that embodies the teachings & principles of our lord & savior

The everlasting gospel What makes the everlasting gospel distinct from the gospel preached by the apostles is that it will NOT be trodden down, hidden or mixed with lies This gospel will finally be effective and make a permanent impact on Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s children All of those who belong to god will be able to see, hear and understand the word of god This is because all those that hear & believe will have the power of the holy spirit upon them so that they can in fact change
