Rev. 23 Prelude: Up there Just Before The curtain rises on a satellite image of Paradise-on-Earth. The landscape is brilliantly lit by white light. Everything is white. The citizens of Paradise are naked. They mingle freely with angels (with wings), the prophets of old, the saints, Moses, Gandhi, Lincoln, Joan of Arc, etc. We see two figures dressed in black creeping along a street. They try to conceal themselves behind bushes, buildings etc. Strains of angelic voices are interwoven in the music which sounds like muzak/elevator music. The voices are singing an excerpt from the Messiah: “Blessing and honor be unto him that sitteth upon the throne . . .”set to this muzak-like music. The two figures struggle with a large object and head for a cone shaped building. They wrench open a vent and place the object in it. They run away, abandoning all attempts at stealth. There is a huge explosion. The satellite image blacks out; the angelic voices stop and the silence is filled with screams and cries. After a few seconds, the lights come back on, the Archangel Michael appears with his flaming sword; the angelic voices continue their songs, and white smoke spirals from the cone shaped building. The muzak continues with greater ferocity.
Act 1: Down Here Just After The scene opens in a cavern surrounded by a fiery fence. Beyond the fire is the bright white lit world of the satellite image. Two shadowy figures are sitting at a makeshift table in the cavern lit only by the fire.

Interlude: TRAVELLING FROM DOWN HERE TO UP THERE
There is a musical interlude as Hades, Lucifer and the Furies (each pushing a wheelbarrow of STUFF) journey through Purgatory. Sun Tze trails behind, picking up bits of stuff that fall off the wheelbarrows. They ascend from Hell towards Paradise-on-Earth. Their journey can be rendered cinematically. They pass through the portal Persephone has left open for them. As they approach their destination UP THERE, we see the silhouettes of men and women against a scrim. They are feasting, reading books, listening to iPods, etc. The travelling music is interrupted by snippets of sound tracks from opera, heavy metal, and pop ...

Act 2: BACK UP THERE Scene 1 The Temptation of Adam and Eve Fruit trees, vegetables, and flowers grow profusely everywhere. Books, CDs, etc. are strewn and piled up all over the stage. Strains of the Hallelujah Chorus are punctuated by the Animal's "House of the Rising Sun," Mozart's "Queen of the Night," the Rolling Stones' "No Satisfaction," ... Shovels, hoes, other planting equipment and the wheelbarrow.] Persephone took with her from DOWN THERE lie about. Persephone begins work on one side of the garden plot. She makes a small hole, plucks a seed from her necklace of pomegranate seeds and plants it ... then another and another...

At the Power Plant Persephone is standing guard as Adam and Eve fumble with the lock on the door of the cone shaped building. We hear sounds of fighting and shrieks of terror. These horrific sounds get louder and louder. In the distance, the Furies are chasing down a few of the heavenly host, ripping them apart with their teeth and claws. Smoke rises from several buildings as flaming swords from wounded angels inadvertently set them alight. Sun Tse strolls through the chaos, still thumbing through his Book. A saber of lightning streaks towards him; he raises his Book and deflects it. Sirens pierce the air; angry shouts from the heavenly host and hell's minions ring out as each side rallies their troops.
