Light of Peace weaves together familiar hymn and carol tunes from the Irish and Scottish traditions with popular Celtic folk tunes, reels, and airs. The new texts suggest that our proper response to the Christmas story be to live out a life of love in action. While each of these carols can be done separately, a director could choose to flesh them out into a Lessons and Carols service of their own.

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra IN UNISON Chorus performs a variety of musical styles, with a focus on the interpretation, performance, and preservation of music from the African diaspora. In addition to its 100-member chorus, the SLSO oversees the In Unison Programs, a vital component of its community engagement initiative which connects neighboring churches to the orchestra through community partnerships and extends professional development to young students who aspire to pursue a career in music. This choral series is dedicated to the music of black composers and arrangers, highlighting music for combined choral and orchestral forces.
