The Career Center served 13,902 students and alumni during the 2010-2011 Academic Year. TCC staff conducted 2,222 individual advising/counseling appointments with students and alumni and presented 263 professional seminars, classroom presentations, and special programs which served 7,537 students. In the 2010-2011 Academic Year classroom presentations, students received an average score of 87% on their overall Learning Outcomes score. For classroom presentations, 97.55% indicated their understanding of career readiness skills was increased. For one-on-one appointments, 98.75% of students who completed the student satisfaction survey had a score of 4 or higher out of a possible score of 5. 94% of students stated they would recommend our services to fellow students. 988 students participated in the HIRED mock interview program. Out of the 988 students who participated in the HIRED Mock Interviews, 100% of students said participating in the HIRED interview process increased their career readiness skills. During the Career Fair, 281 organizations participated in off- and on-campus Career Fair events. 2,106 students participated in off-campus career fairs. 28 companies scheduled on-campus interviews. 98% of employers attending our career fairs rated their recruiting experience as either good or excellent. 82% of students attending our career fairs rated the overall effectiveness of the Career Fair as good or excellent. The Career Center’s Career Success Guide has been reviewed 17,023 times by students and alumni. The Career Success Guide was viewed 12,255 times on-line and 4,768 Career Success Guides were distributed in presentations and one-on-one appointments. Since May 2010, 525 new employer accounts have been added to the PirateJobs database. A total of 591 new jobs were created (posted) in PirateJobs. Since Focus 2’s , The Career Center’s new career and educational planning system for students and alumni, implementation on August 25, 2010, there are a total of 863 new user accounts. Optimal Resume, The Career Center’s online resource for creating resumes, portfolios, and professional websites, has a total of 5,755 student accounts and 304 alumni accounts.
