My approach to making Chawan brings together a wealth of hard won disciplines and yet at the same time I must be relaxed and require of myself to work spontaneously and freely for the best results. It’s a challenge and a balance between the necessary process of the craft and the ability to observe and react in accord with the clay. Margaret Curtis October 2013
