Logo: The logo that we created for Polifera-Tech derives from the formation of the two way spiral patterns that form in the eye of the flower, called phyllotaxis. We broke down the formula that is used to hand render these natural patterns in order to digitally create our own interpretations of them. We felt this was well suited for Polifera-Tech because it is a subtle reminder of the focus of the company as well as a versatile shape that could be adapted to a range of outcomes.

Palantino Garamond Typeface 1: Palantino

Typeface 2: Garamond

We decided to use the typeface palantino for the branding of the company, we thought that working with serif would better suite the Polifera-Tech being that the main audience the deliverables would be targeted towards are well educated, high class, scientists and philosophers.

Garamond is considered to be among the most legible and readable serif typefaces for use in print applications, therefore we help it would be best for this brief as the main focus for the outcomes was readability. It has also been noted to be one of the most Eco-friendly major fonts when it comes to ink usage. Garamond typefaces offer elegance and readability, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

The Range:

Processes:

consists of 2 bound scientific papers written about the PoliferaTech experiments by the client a photo journal which showcases the beautiful imagery in result of the experiments. 2 different types of business cards and a set of folders to keep important documents.

They whole range uses a 210 gsm mid grey stock which when put with white creates a clinical and clean feeling throughout. The Prolifera-Tech symbol translates very well when cut out. We did this to enable us to showcase the documents images even before you turn over the cover.

The Papers:

Processes:

We wanted to extend the initial brief of simply a logo to demonstrate to the client how professional there business look having conforming documents and stationary.

The aim was to create a modern and new age feel to the papers to reflect the innovative experiments that they represent. We did this by creating layouts which more creative but also remembering our target audience of academics and scientist so had to make it very systematic and readable. Papers are screw bound with a laser cut and screen printed cover. We wanted to get the most professional feel for the lowest cost and this was a very cost effective way of presenting experiments using 2 different print processes.

The Papers:

Processes:

There was so much amazing imagery that we were given to by the client that we had to create something which showcased them in a formal manner.

The book is printed in a 120gsm photo quality paper to highlight the quality and detail in the microscopic images. Journal is screw bound with a laser cut and screen printed cover so it fits in with the experiment journals.
