Jixi Museum Xiazhi [China] The design of the museum is based on a delicate research of the topography and history of Jixi, a hilly county located at the foot of Mt. Huangshan and famous for its vernacular settlements. A continuous canopy is occupied to cover the entire site. Its profile simulates the undulating feature of the surrounding hills and rivers. Various courts, patios and alleys are carved out within building to maintain the original trees of the site as much as possible. A three-dimensional touring route began with the entry is developed around the courts, steams and lanes to guide visitors to encounter the exhibition halls, undulating roofs and distant hills.
Novartis Cafeteria Shanghai [China] The X-shaped wood framework that designs the cafeteria covers the interior space. The members were assembled diagonally to support the structure and give it an origami structural space which characterises different ambients in a single space. Dowels were inserted at the joints after the overall structure was assembled in order to provide stiffness. The heavy timber roof contrasts the transparency of the glass carpentry and surrounding giving the space a new appreciation of lightness.
Workplace design
Madrid [Spain]

Brewery and museum
Gleintleiten [Germany]
Northern architecture for this German brewery and museum in the small town of Gleintleiten. Carved in the ground with solid concrete walls opens its public spaces designing private courtyards that the museum uses for the beer tasting in the summer period and remain as light sources for the interior during the winter season. The roof contrasts with the walls by choosing a slender concrete lamellae design that sieves the light to achieve the required interior lightning. The spaces have different heights depending on the function industrial or museum. The proposal was selected as a runner-up for the final museum.
Health Care Centre Kuopio [Finland] Innovative design for a new Health Care Centre for Europan 12 Competition. The proposal was to resolve the need of a new Health Care Pavilion that also linked the old buildings and the public transport access to the Centre. Centipede is a linear pavilion that grows secondary branches to link to the other buildings of the complex. Using light materials such as stainless steel, wood and glass to provide a contrasted image with the old concrete buildings.

Development of 21th Hutong District. Qianmen Hutong. A new proposal for Beijing's old city centre Hutong Neighbourhoods. Beijing over the roofs is an adaptable design for a growing structure that expands above the city based on a strategy of exchange, where the new buildings provide the old city grid with new spaces and functions in exchange for gaining access from the lower layer, the traditional buildings. Becoming an organic mixture of the new and old Beijing.

Future Classroom Madrid [Spain] The third Price awarded in this future classroom innovation design competition for Steelcase. The idea developed is a prototype for a portable and adaptable learning space, instead of remaining linked to the constraints of a physical and static space, travels, it moves in order to provide with a learning space wherever is needed, indoor or outdoor, public or private. The prototype uses a fast model that assembles and disassembles hosting all of the furniture inside, the steel frame wraps up into a cylinder design that can be easily transported in one piece to its future emplacement.
Urban design Pueblos jovenes [Peru] The renovation of the metropolitan area of Pueblos Jovenes in Lima Peru is developed through an urban renewal plan of the whole neighbourhood built in the hills with a high risk of rockslide and detachment. The research on building traditional methods and new construction details is essential for the whole success of the project. Implementing a participatory approach to the project design and future co-design with the community, the innovation is not only applied in the process of the development of te project but also promoting local builders and craftsmen to collaborate with their businesses in the project.
