Message from the Head of School
Dear Eden Community,
Our theme for the 2022-2023 school year was Mission Is Possible based on Matthew 19:26 which says, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” Throughout the school year we celebrated the significant accomplishments that were the direct result of trusting God and placing Him at the center of everything
We are grateful to present this annual report to show God’s faithfulness to Eden Christian Academy and a glimpse at the many ways our theme was fulfilled in our students’ lives
The class of 2023 expressed daily leadership inside and outside the classroom as they aspired to excellence in their academic coursework, led weekly chapel services at all three campuses, excelled in athletics and the arts, and engaged the entire student body in many activities
Each of our students is uniquely designed by God In these pages you’ll see demonstrations of their gifts and talents spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically a testimony to our God and the mission we seek to achieve each day here at our school
We know that to fulfill our mission, we need every one of you!
We are thankful for our parents and families and recognize the significant investment you make to choose Christian education We truly appreciate the trust and confidence you place in our school
We are blessed and greatly appreciate our donors, alumni, alumni families, and friends of Eden for your continued prayers and support over the years Your faithfulness to ECA is overwhelming
Finally, thank you to our wonderful faculty and staff who are truly servants of the Lord You raise the bar of excellence each year and serve every one of our students and families so well
In Christ's faithful service,

Student Mission Trip to
Costa Rica
On June 3, 2023, a group of 47 people including 35 students, several chaperones, and parents traveled from Pittsburgh to San Jose, Costa Rica with the goal of building three houses for Nicaraguan refugees in a community called Pavas Arriving on Saturday, they visited a coffee farm! On Sunday, they had the great joy of worshiping with believers in a new church plant in the very community in which they planned to serve ECA students held a mini-VBS with the children of the church and focused on the story of Jonah For the next three days, the group worked constructing three separate houses Each site began with a concrete pad and a pile of materials and by the end of the first day, all three houses had walls. The rooftops were put in place on the second day just in time for a torrential tropical downpour. By the third day, three families were presented with keys to a furnished dwelling place. This amazing threeday experience taught the team so much more than new construction skills The group interacted with the families who would be living in the houses and spent time with the neighbors as well, particularly the children; laughing, playing, and teaching each other new words in English and Spanish
"This trip has made such a huge impact on me Seeing these kids with so little, yet them still being so grateful, and willing to share what they have was crazy to me They never seemed upset, and always had smiles on their faces It was so beautiful to see I can only hope we made as much of an impact on these kids as they made on us! I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to go on this trip and experience the gratefulness of these families for things that we so often take for granted"
