Getting to Claybottom Farm From M6 Junction 41 take the B5305 towards Wigton. After around six miles turn left signposted Hesket Newmarket. Pass through Millhouse and into Hesket Newmarket and follow the road up main street. At the top the road bends to the right but go straight on up narrow lane for a mile continuing past Hudscales farm on the left (don’t follow Sat Nav if it directs you left at Hudscales Farm entrance). Take the next left signposted Nether Row and follow lane for around one mile and you will get to a group of houses. Take the track at ‘1o'clock' up to Claybottom Farm.
