Getting to Laal Steans From Penrith take the A66 west. At the Rheged island take the third exit signposted Keswick. After 5.2 miles turn left for Greystoke/Matterdale sign. Continue for 2.2 miles then turn left, follow the road up the hill for 1.2 miles taking the second right turn into Ulcat Row. Follow the lane until you pass a farm on your right hand side. This is the next property on the right hand side. Laal Steans has a car park behind large wooden gates and a grey front door.
