Cockermouth is a traditional Cumbrian market town set on the banks of the River Derwent. Getting to Manor House From M6, J40, follow A66 West to Keswick/Workington. At the first large roundabout for Cockermouth, take the 3rd exit to Town Centre A5086. Follow the road into the town, taking a left turn at the next set of traffic lights signposted Town Centre/Maryport/Carlisle. At the next roundabout turn left. At the next roundabout turn right, signposted Maryport. Go over Gote Bridge in the direction of Carlisle, take the first true road to the left (Papcastle Rd) with James Walker factory opposite. Proceed along Papcastle Road through the centre of the village and Manor House is located on the left hand side of the road, opposite the Village Hall.
