Failure

My work explores ideas of materiality and language, of form and content, of intentionality and not-knowing. The combination of my typed text and my material works (images) are connected and one does not work without the other. As my approach is a visceral one, materiality goes through my hands.

Materiality in a wider sense comprising physical materials as well as linguistic materials. with the viewer-reader and goes beyond my control or intention.

The title of the work is ‘Failure’, and one could reflect one what I failed to do, or whether I succeeded in failing.

All is connected, and it appears that the small works might even open up towards a wider cultural context of meaning.

But this resides with the viewer-reader and goes beyond my control or intention.
