Sara highlights women of Paquibato District in Int’l Women’s Day message

Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte voted “No” to the Resolution of Both Houses (RBH) No. 6 calling for a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) that would propose amendments to the economic provisions of the 1987 Constitution.

Vice President Sara Duterte put the women of Paquibato District in Davao City in the spotlight in her message during the International Women’s Day and National Women’s Month Philip- pine Commission on Women at SM Aura Premier, Taguig Metro Manila on Wednesday.

may not fully understand things about the internet or Facebook or Twitter or how their transistor radios work, but are at the forefront of the fight of the city government of Davao against a protracted war waged temptingly on behalf of indigenous peoples.

“But those women — they embraced a version of technology and innovation that was applicable and effective to change their lives and their community,” she said.
