City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) chief Alfredo Baloran said on Tuesday that a joint assessment for the city’s drainages in areas experiencing flooding Monday evening is being conducted by the teams of CDRRMO, City Engineer’s Office (CEO), and the Ancillary Services Unit (ASU).

After only a few minutes of downpour on Monday evening, reports of heavy flooding in the areas of Buhangin particularly La Verna and Damosa in Lanang circulated online.

Davao City. Sa Damosa, as of morning (Tuesday) ankle level ang water but passable ang kalsada,” Baloran said over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) on Tuesday.

He recommended that these areas be reassessed to determine if the problem is the same as before, which is clogged drainage that caused heavy flooding during heavy downpours.
