Dabawenyos are urged to bear the inconvenience brought by the closure of the Matina Biao-Barangay Langub road for 16 months owing to the construction of the overpass bridge.

The City Council approved on Tuesday an ordinance approving the road closure of Matina Biao-Langub Road for a period of 16 months from May 2023 to December 2024 for the construc- tion of an overpass bridge (OV2) along the said area.

The ordinance was approved as part of the Davao City Bypass Road Project, which is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to begin various building projects, including the Matina 1 and Matina 2 River Bridges.
