Cotabato Governor denounces shooting of 2 teachers in Pikit

Taliño Mendoza strongly denounced the shooting of two teachers in the town of Pikit, Cotabato on May 26, 2023. Based on the police report of Pikit Municipal Police Station, the victims were identified as Joel Reformado, 36 of Damalasak Primary School, and Elton

John Lapined, of Mapagkaya Elementary School were ambushed and shot by two unidentified individuals.

Reformado died due to multiple gunshot wounds to the body, while Lapined is undergoing surgery at the hospital.

In a statement, Mendoza condemned and considered the shooting of the said teachers to be despicable.

“Teachers play a big role in shaping the future of every Pikiteño’s child. I denounce any acts of violence and injustice towards our teachers, who have dedicated their lives to the Filipino children,” she said.

Mendoza ordered the authorities to conduct an in-depth FCOTABATO, P10
