GET ACTIVE CHARLIE WALLER FOUNDATION (2 talks & awareness stand)

HEALTH · 9am till 5pm · Talks: 1pm & 2.30pm

The CW Foundation aim to talk openly about depression, so that young people know how to maintain wellbeing, and where the most appropriate treatment is available to everyone who needs it. Stall & workshops.

TEA AND TALK HEALTH

(Garden resturant) · 9am till 5pm Chance for students to talk about their feelings over a brew.

SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING (2 Sessions)

HEALTH · 9.15am & 1pm · BOOKING REQUIRED

A session focused on the strategies and approaches to be used to reduce suicide in the wider community.

ICE CREAM VAN

OUTSIDE HUB · 11am till 3pm

FREE ice-cream head over to the wellbeing table to collect your free voucher.

Health and Wellbeing – access support to improve your mental health and wellbeing, receive advice on sexual health or diet and exercise, and access information about drugs and alcohol awareness.

MINDSMATTER HUB · 11am till 3pm

Mindsmatter Service have dedicated teams who offer a range of support to help you make positive changes to reduce stress and anxiety and also improve your wellbeing. These include stress control classes, wellbeing workshops, group therapies, one to one support and telephone support.

MAGIC SELFIE MIRROR HUB · 11am till 3pm

Mirror, mirror on the wall who’s the...oh you know how it goes!

EHSU ADVICE

Our Advice Team is at the heart of Edge Hill Students’ Union. They have literally dealt with everything from Landlord and Housing problems, to academic appeals, benefit questions and feeling down, lonely or homesick too.


GET ACTIVE GENDER AND MENTAL HEALTH DISCUSSIONS HUB 1 · 3.30pm till 4.30pm · BOOKING REQUIRED

A chance to discuss how mental health can affect students of all genders, from Men and women to Trans and Non-Binary Students and how their experiences can differ because of Gender.

Stalls ran by SU (PTOs) - To breakdown the stigma of mental health and to inform students of common misconceptions of mental health.

STUDENT MINDS SOCIETY HUB · 11am till 3pm

Student Minds Society is a Mental Health Awareness society who will be available in the HUB to encourage students to pledge.

SIGN LANGUAGE SOCIETY HUB · 11am till 3pm

Mental Health in the Deaf Community. Communicating within a hearing world can cause Mental Health issues.


LEARN STUDENT EXPERIENCE HUB · 11am till 3pm

“Be Like Raymond” based on the character from Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. He is a kind, thoughtful and supportive character who befriends an otherwise isolated Eleanor.

SOUTHPORT SAMARITANS HUB · 11am till 3pm

A really important part of Samaritans work is to reach out to people in the community and work with other organisations to raise awareness of what we do and offer support to as many people as we can.

BEE SOCIETY HUB · 11am till 3pm

This society provides the opportunity for students to learn more about sustainable, ethical beekeeping, bee behaviour, hive products and pollination.

ARTS CENTRE

HUB · 11am till 3pm

The Arts Centre host a diverse range of high quality professional productions, including comedy, dance, drama, literature, music, film, live theatre screenings, and family-friendly shows, designed to entertain students as well as local and regional communities.


BE MINDFUL MINDFULNESS TRAINING (3 Sessions)

HEALTH 路 9am, 12 noon & 2.30pm 路 BOOKING REQUIRED

A session on Mindfulness, theory around what is Mindfulness, followed by the opportunity to practice mindfulness.

CHAPLAINCY

HUB 路 11am till 3pm

The Chaplaincy Service is a pastoral support service delivered by volunteers who care about you and your wellbeing, regardless if you are from a faith background or not. We are here to listen in confidence and without judgement. Come along to find out more about our events and activities. For those that would also benefit from some quiet time on campus; for prayer, reflection or to simply unwind, we can point you in the direction of the Faith and Reflection Room.

Writing words on T-shirts that students have been called in the past and owning that label. (Similar to speak out womens).


BE MINDFUL TORCH SONG JUKEBOX HUB · 11am till 3pm

Everyone has moments when things get tough, but we all have a favourite track that can turn things around. A single song can change how you feel. That’s your Torch Song — it lights the way out of the dark. Men especially can find it hard to speak up when things get tough, but Torch Songs shows it’s not unusual to struggle sometimes.

Cycle your way to fruity goodness. Excercise your mental health & physical Health.

BUBBLE FOOTBALL

Bubble football is game that enhances psychological strength, promotes mental and physical health and boots general health and wellbeing. It’s used to enhance team spirit and interactions.

RELAX WITH YOGA CLASS THE ARTS CENTRE (studio 5) 5pm till 6pm BOOKING REQUIRED

Practicing yoga really does relax your mind as well as your body more than other types exercises.

Plus there's hot food on the BBQ (including veggie and vegan food!) and a chance to meet like-minded people.
