This score reflects the state of editorial work and correction as at July 2013
from The Tempest by William Shakespeare
I. O, I have suffered With those that I saw suffer: a brave vessel, Who had, no doubt, some noble creature in her, Dash’d all to pieces. O, the cry did knock Against my very heart. Poor souls, they perish’d. Had I been any god of power, I would Have sunk the sea within the earth or ere It should the good ship so have swallow’d and The fraughting souls within her. – Miranda
II. Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises, Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not. Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices That, if I then had waked after long sleep, Will make me sleep again: and then, in dreaming, The clouds methought would open and show riches Ready to drop upon me that, when I waked, I cried to dream again. – Caliban
III. The cloud-capp’d towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. – Prospero

Diesen Erfolg konnte er 2013 mit The Isle Is Full of Noises und Over Light Earth wiederholen. Seine Musik zu dem Feature The Deep wurde mit dem Preis „Beste Filmmusik“ bei den Icelandic Film and Television Awards 2013 ausgezeichnet.

The Isle Is Full Of Noises
Daníel Bjarnason studied piano and composition in Reykjavík, Iceland and orchestral conducting at the Freiburg Musikhochschule. Bjarnasons’s versatility as an arranger and conductor has led to many collaborations outside the classical field. He worked with composer Ben Frost to create Music for Sólaris, a work for string orchestra, percussion, prepared piano and electronics. Bjarnason has won numerous awards and grants; in 2008 and 2011 he was awarded a special recommendation at the International Rostrum for Composers. His works The Isle Is Full Of Noises, Over Light Earth and Processions won him the prize for Best Composer at the Icelandic Music Awards, and his score for the film The Deep was awarded Best Film Score at the Icelandic Film and Television Awards in 2013.
