Quality sports tourism is one of the major commitments of the Mallorcan municipality to try to deseasonalise and diversify tourism activity.

The Town of Calvià will be, for one week, the world’ capital of tennis with the celebration of the first ATP tournament on grass held in Spain, in a unique facility in Europe, which is a project with a vocation of consolidation throughout the whole year. The local institutions consider it a privilege for Calvià to be able to host sporting competitions such as the Mallorca Championships in the facilities of the Mallorca Country Club. This kind of events and facilities not only contribute to the deseasonalisation and diversification of the tourist activity, but they are also an excellent showcase to show the best of Calvià to the visitors who come to the town, as well as bringing quality and excellence to the municipality. Thanks to exceptional weather conditions, with more than 300 days of sunshine a year and mild temperatures, and a natural environment that combines sea and mountains, Calvià is an ideal place to practice sport. It also has an impressive environment and various high-quality facilities, which, together with all the complementary services offered, make participation in competitions or training camps an unforgettable experience. Other sporting events such as the Challenge Peguera Mallorca in the triathlon discipline, as well as the Half Marathon Magaluf, an event that already has more than 30 years of history in the municipality, have also become unmissable events on the international sporting calendar. For several years now, these events have been held alongside different training camps and international competitions in athletics, sailing, football, rugby and cycling. Calvià is a tourist reference in the Mediterranean, a privileged enclave, whose adaptation of products and services to the different needs of the public is one of the keys for the town to continue to be a preferred option for accommodation and stay in Mallorca. The municipality has 36 beaches along 54 kilometres of coastline with two marine reserves, while inland, the public estate of Galatzó is the gateway to the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visitors to the region have at their disposal no less than 150 km of cycling routes and 100 km of hiking trails to discover the area. In addition to maintaining its position as a leading tourist reference in the Mediterranean, Calvià is working to consolidate itself as a destination of innovation from a technological point of view in relation to the environment, energy efficiency and sustainability, with the focus placed above all on the preservation of

the environment and heritage under strict criteria of environmental and territorial responsibility. And based on this, Calvià wants to continue to be a welcoming and modern town, a benchmark for tourism and sport that faces the future with courage, determination and optimism, and a place where everyone who arrives can continue to be surprised and delighted by its landscape, its culture, its heritage, its leisure and its gastronomy.

Calvià, an almost magical place between a sea of dreams and a mountain of unforgettable experiences that offers visitors everything they could want and desire.
