História da Família Moura

Vilamoura Equestrian Centre é um espaço que foi fundado em 1996, com o objetivo de preencher uma lacuna desportiva que se encontrava v no meio equestre, ou seja a organização de competições equestres internacionais, na modalidade de saltos de obstáculos. O fundador, António Moura, seguiu os passos da sua família sendo a terceira geração de cavaleiros na sua família após seu avô e o seu pai. Eng António Moura cresceu assim no mundo equestre e esta influência fez com que abdica-se da sua carreira de engenheiro civil para se dedicar a tempo inteiro à sua maior paixão, os cavalos. Na organização de eventos equestres em Portugal, foi a primeira empresa a iniciar em Portugal desde 1998 até ao mais importanteCSI feito em nosso país.

Como a organização do Campeonato da Europa de Juniores e Jovens Cavaleiros em Vilamoura 2004 e na Comporta 2011, e também na organização do primeiro CSI 4* e nas primeiras etapa da Global Champions Tour em Portugal, no Estoril - Cascais 2006-2008

Neste momento, a empresa responsáveis pela gestão do Centro Hípico de Vilamoura, onde organiza anualmente 28 concursos internacionais, trazendo a Vilamoura mais de 40 nações, 500 cavaleiros e cerca de 2000 cavalos.

Foi ainda pioneiros na organização de uma rota de concursos de inverno. Em Santarém, no CNEMA, este evento moveu o maior número de cavalos e cavaleiros nacionais de sempre, durante os meses de novembro, dezembro e janeiro de 2000-2013.
