You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Christopher Nolan. Christian Bale. The Legends of a Lifetime. A Batmobile to make you swoon. And Cinematography that enthrals. If this isn’t the recipe for possibly the greatest movie in recent times then I don’t know what is. The third and final instalment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy has got everyone’s excitement levels running high and with good reason, it promises to be an absolute knockout. What remains to be seen is whether it lives up to the extremely high expectations. Well, one thing’s for sure, you can’t afford to miss this movie, if for nothing else than to be mesmerized by Christian Bale. The legendary British actor has been in the business since he was 13 years old and has acted in some of the most critically acclaimed films including "The Fighter"," The Prestige" and "3:10 To Yuma". If there was one word that I could use to describe this Oscar winning actor’s performance as Batman it would be swag. Even with the superhero-suit on, he manages to look ridiculously good. And that deep voice doesn’t hurt the ears either. But other than Batman himself, the one other character that intrigues me is Alfred. The stately butler/life-saver played by Sir Michael Caine has made me laugh and the cries leading up to the final movie shall be missed the most. As Alfred said, “The fallen must rise.” The Dark Knight shall rise, stronger and better than ever before. 20th July can’t get here fast enough. -Rtr. Diksha Kataria
It is always Batman who fights to save the city of Gotham , it is him who is the real hero , but sometimes the pure sadism and evil spirit of the character just enthralls us more than the hero . Joker - one character who perfectly fits the role of a criminal on the loose , out of his mind and a dangerous sadist. Every act of his in the movie ' The Dark Knight ' can make you wince and you can actually feel like it's you who's getting tortured . Right from the different Joker get ups to that scary voice , everything he does sends chills up your spine. Heath Ledger was at his best in this movie , having lived like the joker off the sets , just to get into the character , and it has surely paid off. He is the perfect bad ass villain , and probably no one else can match up to this level of an evil character. -Rtr. Ami Shah
