Words From the Wise(Jaipur) As I begin with my tenure as the president of Rotract Club Jaipur City, I always remember few lines said by Adolf hitler-"The art of leadership consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention." This is what I focus on, to make my goals clear and to motivate my team always to be reaching the heights of success. Its here, in Rotract, that I learned the art of being an effective leader, to uncover my hidden potentials which I was'nt aware of earlier, to fullfill my responsibilities well and most importantly, what is required to stand in today's competitve world, is being spontaneous and appropriate in decissions and thats what I gained being a part of this organisation. When people ask me what is it that made you so much inclined towards Rotract, I just say these words, "Come, Join and feel the difference. Feel the essence of being a part of such a diverse group in terms of thoughts, ideas and perceptions. Feel the difference of making yourself distinct from the rest of the world in terms of this holistic group and most importantly feel the difference in urself. Organising various projects throughout the year with a maximum of benefitt and proper resource allocation we get an experience of how things are to be managed and carried over properly. And thats the reason that I motivate my team to follow a proper guideline with the easiest path to reach the goal, that ultimately adds up for the experience to carry over the related tasks with better efficiency in future. Apart from this the level of confidence one gains through these activities is simply fantastical. This is the message I want to deliver that no matter how difficult it is to reach the destination, there comes a time in a man's life, when to get where he has to go-if there are no doors and windows-he walks through a wall. This is the ideology I believe in and I have the emmense privelage of saying that I am proud being a rotractor and being associated with this organisation which shaped me entirely as a capable individual and to look towards the wider horizon.

Words From The Wise(Mumbai)
Rotaract to me has always been much more than any other activity, it has helped me become the person I am today, it has given me a new perspective to life and opened up countless opportunities. My club is not just a Club to me, in these 4 years it has become a way of life, the absence of Rotaract leaves in me a void that cannot be filled. When i wake up every morning I yearn to get out of the house and start another day that is filled with Rotaract. I have been actively involved in sports and many other extra curricular activities but none of them could match up to the standards of entertainment and learning my Club set for me. Often people ask me what is it that drives you to prefer Rotaract over movies, clubbing, dinners and sometimes even family vacations; being honest I cannot pin point any one quality, I guess it's just the grandeur and the experience it comes with. I am not the extremely hard working individual myself but there is some driving force in the movement that persuades me to even run across the city. Lastly it is extremely delighting to know that many more share my passion for the movement.

It becomes difficult to express how one feels to be a part of such a leading organisation with such wonderful people around, all active and enthusiastic, to work and to gain the experience for a better tommorow. Since the time I joined Rotract its been in my mind how to motivate the youth to have a better involvement and have an active participation with the world around them, and thats what we have been doing, giving them a chance to prove their capability,to show the zest within themselves and to give them a wider platform to develop a network of communication pattern with people around. Keeping the updates of every club through regular interaction makes me realise how active everybody is, and through this process of acquintances with the other clubs on the basis of their participation and performance everybody gets a chance to interact and share their experiences with other clubs over the year. This in turn gives everybody motivation and a chance to gain an experience and to know the working of other clubs. Various community service projects are been organised by every club to render their support and a hand to hold and other international service projects which involves the communication and working of two or more different clubs active in the district. Thus, with such ongoing activities a continuous chain of working hands is well established giving everybody an exposure to handle the responsibilities well and to gain appreciation among all in terms of the service they provide. As for me anything which enhances my skills is a part of my working schedule the same is the principle everybody follows here! We give them oppurtunities to shape themselves and the members in turn make an effective use and implementation of it and thats how we learn!

From The Editors Desk As editors this is our proudest moment, publishing a bulletin that encompasses their life in Rotaract. For the both of us Rotaract is the life blood that rekindles our hearts and minds and drives us to strive towards our goal. There is some energy the movement possesses that just makes us go on. Often when we are involved with large scale projects we don't even realize the passage of time. Many a times our parents do raise their tone but frankly it hardly has ever affected our work hours. All in all Rotaract has given more to the both of us than we could have ever imagined. We are fully aware of the fact that any amount of service. At this point in time we would like to thank the Rotaract Club of Jaipur City for associating with us in this venture, we through enjoyed working on this bulletin and we hope you did too.

"My journey in ROTARACT.... I'm from Jaipur itself and I'm undergoing a training here. I heard a great deal about ROTARACT and I thought, what could be this ROTARACT other then the normal social clubs? I asked someone and she said 'Its ROTARy in ACTion'. I enquired further what this club actualy is all about and she replied, "its a platform where you can polish yourself and groom your personality." I said that there are many institution that can do it so whats so special about ROTARACT? She just smiled and said, "Join it and figure it out yourself!" That smile left a feeling of curosity and I joined Rotaract. My first General Body Meeting on Sunday, I was all so inquistive about this club. One of the senior member asked me why I wanted to join this club. I replied even I dont know. He smiled and said, "the day you'll know, you'll feel proud of becoming a part of this club." And today, after about an year, I'm proud to say that I'm a rotaractor and I'm a part of RCJC. Its here that I have learned to be independent, to be responsible and to be action-oriented. I was pretty sure when I joined Rotaract that I will benefitt from here and so I have. I have gained immense confidence over myself and this makes me feel I surely made a right decission to be a part of this organisation.

My life and learnings in Rotaract My Journey with The Rotaract Club of H.R. College began very early in life, as early as when I was in standard 8 in School. I was a participant at WE ARE THE WORLD it was an experience of a life time as it was the biggest and most opulent inter school event that I had ever attended and from that very day I knew one thing that I always wanted to be a part of this event of such great stature. Well The Rotaract Club of H.R. has always been a part of me. Two years later after participating in many such event’s organized by this organization I was now actually a part of it and I actually loved it because for me college only existed if the club did. When I entered the club I was a really spoilt but reserved child who had never actually seen what life was beyond my protected world but in all senses RCHR had opened my eyes and made me see what the real world really is. I still remember my first time in the train was with my then Rotary Rotaract Relations Directors Miloni & Naasir and we were going to conduct a survey in the slums of Mumbai that would help victims of the bomb blast that had taken place in the trains that time and I was petrified, so The Rotaract Club of H.R. College has not only made me come out of my shell but has molded me as a person in whole. While learning ways about how large scale projects and all the work we did I also had a lot of fun and made a few friends that are close to me even today. The first year flew by with a lot of fun and learning while in the second year I learnt that we have to not only have fun and workA but we also have to be a peoples person someone that everybody loves, adores and respects and that would not come to me, just being very reserved that I was, but my friends Radhika, Chirag and Yashraj helped and supported me a lot. That year I learnt the finer details about the working of the club like how PR was conducted or basic paper work that were very essential for every project. This year was one of my most favorite years in the club one where I was corrected at every step which then felt like I was being targeted but today when I look back has changed me and my approach towards the entire Rotaract movement. The biggest and most beautiful change that RCHR had brought in me this year was self confidence and always to have self pride but still remain grounded. I also learnt a lot of time management this year as I had to balance RCHR as well as my studies as HSC was then a very big step in life. This was also the first year that I was ever allowed for outstation trips ever and it was the most beautiful and awesome trips that I have had because I had felt freedom for the first time but I also saw that I must not misuse it. This was the year that had brought about the biggest changes in my approach to life.

We always expect the next year to be better than the one that had already gone by, but as the saying goes “ You never get what you want” and this is the one line that actually describes my entire third year in the club. A lot of my friends and co-rchr’ites went on to doing various courses and a lot even shifted college but I just stuck to the club and I always knew I would right from the day I joined it. In the third year well I went back to being the reclusive person I was as a lot of new members came into the club and well I felt a little neglected and dejected but the work and projects that were conducted in the club just kept me glued and this year well I just enjoyed the club, never really got into the details much as I had already done that and this year I just wanted to have fun and participate in projects rather than organizing them, it was tough in the beginning as usually new members are always given priority for a lot of things but I knew patience was the key and that my time would also come. I had waited for 2 and half year long years get my opportunity in the club and to prove myself and then came along an opportunity to organize a talent hunt for the underprivileged children along with Novartis where they were providing educational scholarships to the top 16 children who won the quiz. Also along with the quiz we had a little entertainment session where children from different organization danced away to the music and set the stage at Rang Sharda Auditorium alive. It was that day that I realized that no opportunity is big or small we must do what we believe in and do with all heart and soul. This current year for me has been one filled with surprises I never expected the first big surprise came to me when I least expected it and from the person I least expected our President and one of my 1st friends in RCHR, Rtr. Chirag Tekchandaney, just a few hours before my birthday and the Charter Night of the club he asked me to be the Marketing Head of our club, it was a new post so along with it came a lot of responsibility and like I said believe in what you do and prove yourself. Finally after three long years that I had lived and enjoyed and breath every moment for the club I had got something I had never expected. This entire year has been very different for as a member I never really knew what exactly went behind the projects in such depth and how the board functions. I never really had projects per say under my portfolio but I did help a lot of directors, members and leaders with their projects as for my portfolio marketing was never easy but I have worked to my capability and using all my experience to help the club and signature and small scale projects raise money. This year has been a truly wonderful experience as I have got the chance to see RCHR from a totally new light, I got to interact with members like I never did before and I proved to myself that everything is worth the wait and we receive what we truly deserve. The club has truly become my family, my home as every person that comes along in the club teaches me something and changes me as a person. Today I believe I’m a better person and human being because of this mighty organization and all that I have learnt here is what is going to help me sail through life.
