About the Russell W. Ludeke – Harold Christopher Truax II Memorial Award

With an initial gift from QuestMark Information Management, Inc., Charolais breeders Larry and Beth Ludeke of Bar J Charolais, Liverpool, Texas and the Evelyn Gay Duhon Family of JVS Cattle Co., Sulphur, Louisiana, seek to provide professional awards annually to those impacted by the Charolais breed.

The 2023 AIJCA Junior National Show & Leadership Conference welcomed Charolais families to St. Paul, Minnesota from July 2-7. AIJCA members from 26 states paraded 433 entries in the 48th annual show, “Char Spangled Banner.” On Thursday, 155 entries were shown in the Bred & Owned Heifer, Bull, Steer and Percentage Heifer Shows. 278 entries were judged in the Owned Heifer Show on Friday, July 7.
