Dear Mr. Schellenberger, BA, Thank you from the bottom of my heart; I am the recipient of the 2020-2021 General Contractor’s Section, Carpentry Apprenticeship Award II. This money has helped me when I know many people need it. COVID19 has not been kind to many, and I found myself with little to no work during these past two years. With this award, I was able to help pay for the laptop and school supplies I needed and helped ease financial stress; being in school trying to survive on Employment Insurance can be quite a challenge. Thank you very much; I am forever grateful to have received this award. Kerissa Harris

It means so much to my wife and me; the financial relief, we received with this award. My wife is a stay-at-home mom and we have two young children. When I took two months off work to go to school, it was hard on us but rewarding to better ourselves for the future. This award helped us pay the debt we incurred while I was in school. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. I was excited to learn I had received your award, not just for the money but also for recognizing that my hard work had paid off. Again, we can not thank you enough. Neil Hillier

Dear Mr. Schellenberger, BA, I am the recipient of the Edmonton Construction Association Terry Fulcher – Civil I Student Award. I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the generous award. As a mature student returning to school after five years, it was heartening to receive an award based on academic merit. The award helped instill confidence in my capabilities to grow and learn despite the challenges I faced returning to school after so long. I am now in my final year of the Civil Engineering Technology Diploma, on track to graduate in Spring 2022. I aspire to work towards my degree. The award helped me cover unexpected expenses while living alone and attending school, easing my financial stress and better focusing on my courses. Thank you to the Edmonton Construction Association for the award; it means a great deal to have my efforts recognized. With gratitude, Bureh Koroma 1st year, Civil Engineering Technology program koroma.bk@gmail.com Dear Mr. Schellenberger, BA, When I learned that I had received the Edmonton Construction Association Terry Fulcher – Construction Award, I was shocked and grateful. Receiving the award alleviated a lot of stress; I chose to go back to school after already being out in the workforce. Returning to school as an adult, trying to keep up with bills, and better educate oneself is not an easy task. It is an honour to be recognized by others for my efforts. Thank you for helping me and continuing to help others. Sincerely, Sarah MacIsaac

Dear Mr. Schellenberger, BA, I felt a great sense of achievement, pride and accomplishment when I learned that I had received the 2020-2021 General Contractor’s Section, Carpentry Apprenticeship Award II. The Edmonton Construction Association is a driving force in the construction industry within Edmonton; it was a great honour to be chosen as an award recipient. My company is very proud of me for receiving this award, which boosted my confidence significantly. At the time, we were in the middle of the pandemic, and Employment Insurance only covers so much, so receiving this money helped me immensely. The award money took some financial stress out of my life, and I could focus more on my studies. I want to thank the Edmonton Construction Association for the generous award. Sincerely, Khenan Rutsch
