Think about it... LibertyFest has many different events generally beginning in June through July 4th. You can volunteer for a few hours and be a part of one of the best events Edmond has to offer. It's Fun And Easy!
Over the last five decades, LibertyFest has had one constant which is our organization has been 100 percent volunteer ran. Throughout the year our dedicated volunteers contribute not only our patriotic events but strengthen our democratic republic and our community.
When a group of volunteers came together in the early 1970s, they wanted to create something larger than themselves, and the result is the festival we all love today, LibertyFest. We are excited to always be welcoming in new volunteers and encourage you to join our team as we celebrate our 52nd year. We look forward to increasing our volunteer base as we prepare to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and the United States’ semiquincentennial birthday, both in 2026.
I hope to see you at one of our patriotic LibertyFest events as we celebrate “The Year of the Volunteer.”

Our Edmond community is thrilled to host the biggest and best 4th of July festival here in Edmond, Oklahoma. It is the 52nd Anniversary of LibertyFest. It is an honor that Edmond Life & Leisure has once again been selected to produce this official program for LibertyFest. We look forward to seeing you at all the magnificent events for this fantastic 52nd year of celebration.
We also owe a giant thank you to all of our sponsors for this year’s event. Most have been supporting LibertyFest for decades. They make it possible for most events to occur without charge to our guests for these many events. LibertyFest, for those of you new to the community, is not a one-day event but it happens over six days with a multitude of events. A special new group of volunteers has stepped up to help keep the tradition alive and we hope you will consider being a volunteer for next year.
Edmond’s July 4th Festival is a non-profit 501(c)3 operation made up of individual volunteers from the Edmond area. Its purpose is to produce a series of family-oriented events around the 4th of July to celebrate the birthday of this great nation and the heritage of Oklahoma. As the host city of LibertyFest, Edmond highlights a series of events that help enhance the quality of life in Edmond, show pride in the community, support for non-profit and civic organizations, and provide educational opportunities.
The big heroes for LibertyFest are all the volunteers. They contribute hundreds of hours to making this weeklong celebration easy for Edmond to enjoy. The work and planning for LibertyFest events goes on year-round. Volunteers take time away from their families and other responsibilities to make sure we all have a pleasant and safe experience at these events. They are all folks who love their community and our country. It is truly a labor of love for our LibertyFest volunteers.
We wish you and your family a safe and happy Fourth of July and hope you will join us in our Edmond LibertyFest Celebration. It is certainly a fitting tribute to our fine nation. It is one of the best celebrations in our great United States. Our family looks forward to seeing you along the parade route and at all the other events.

The theme of LibertyFest this year is “Year of the Volunteer”, and we are excited to celebrate volunteers that have impacted our community and nation through their dedicated service.
Volunteerism is etched deeply into our nation’s history. From the first volunteer firehouse that began in 1736 to recent natural disasters and everything in between, Americans have shown themselves to be a people that will step forward to give their time and effort to support their neighbor or a cause when it counts most. I recognize that the act of volunteering is something that requires selfless service, commitment, and sacrifice. That’s why I am proud to recognize the volunteers that make our Edmond community so special.
LibertyFest would not be possible without the commitment and sacrifice of our wonderful volunteers. Once again, they have worked year-round to put together an exciting lineup of events and activities for all ages leading up to our nationally recognized parade and fireworks display on July 4th. With something for everyone in the family, I encourage you to take advantage of all that LibertyFest has to offer.
I hope you will join us as we come together in the spirit of unity to celebrate our nation, our community, and all of the generations that have sacrificed greatly to earn and maintain the freedom we are blessed with today.
Happy Birthday America!
