Media Release PCN named one of Canada’s Best Small and Medium Employers November 7, 2013: For immediate release Edmonton, AB – Edmonton Southside Primary Care Network (PCN) is pleased to be named among the Best 50 Small and Medium Employers in Canada. The study, now in its 10th year, is conducted by Aon Hewitt and Queen’s School of Business and published annually in PROFIT Magazine. “We are very proud of our employees because they are the reason why we succeed. This recognition is primarily based on employee engagement levels and how committed they are to the success of the PCN. Our clinical program successes are a direct result of our highly engaged work environment and the efforts of all of our employees,” says Doug Craig, general manager of Edmonton Southside PCN. Becoming a Best Small and Medium Employer is a very detailed and competitive process. This national awards program recognizes top employers with between 50 and 399 employees. The program mirrors the renowned Best Employer in Canada list published in Maclean’s Magazine; however, caters to smaller organizations. The rankings are primarily determined by using the results from Employee Opinion Surveys. The evaluation process also includes the assessment of organizational practices, HR data and leadership surveys. This year, more than 200 organizations across Canada participated in the study. Study partners include Queen's School of Business, Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing and AON Hewitt.
