Mountain Dew OSE > Personal Project > 6 Weeks

Brief > Design a promotional vehicle for the soft drink company Mountain Dew keeping in mind the youthfulness of the brand & its dare-to-go-anywhere attitude.

Hatch options for the cold storage area

The Mountain Dew Ose, derives it’s name from the Hindi word for “dew”. The spirited runabout is the manifestation of drink. It’s spirit reflecting the attitude of its youthful patrons. The vehicle operates effortlessly off the road as it does in the urban jungle.

The cold storage hides a mini pick-up truck bed, to haul that Dew motocrosser to the show.

The custom dirt tires have the silhouette of the Mtn Dew logo incorporated in the tread.

The TATA Cupla redefines the proverbial brick-through-the-air phenomena.

The Cupla manages to have a low coefficient of drag when coupled as well as when with container. It does so by the use of a smart air-channelling system. This system uses flaps inside the body to direct the air flow as per requirement.

When the truck is coupled, the air is channelled through the body work.

When the truck has cargo, irrespective of the size, the flaps divert air from the body work to jump the length of the cargo, skipping the very non aerodynamic surfaces of the container or the bulker. This orchestration of air creates a venturi effect taking additional air with it, making it possible for the truck to slip through with utmost ease.

IKEA Klutz > Personal Project > 5 days

Brief > Design a walking aid for the active urban youth who frequently suffer sports’ injuries.

The exposed ribs are treated to be aesthetically appealing as they are visible to the user with no compromise on structure. Heavily inspired from the mono material Magis chair.

Hinge restricted to 180 degrees

The injection molded polypropylene crutch comprises two units, the upper one being the triceps support and the lower unit being the weight bearing component. The two units are linked by a snap-fit joint built into the upper half. This facilitates easy mobility and breaks free from the usual dependability stigma, associated with the WW II standard issue crutch that hasn’t evolved in decades.

The Goodyear MotionGEL Shoe has been designed specifically with a trucker’s long hours of operation in mind, with keen focus on breatheability, flexibility and support in the ankle region and a viscous gel-filled insole working on the principles of reflexology to keep the wearer’s feet from feeling the stresses of the job.
