February 11, 2001 - June 27, 2012 Ruthie is the one who started it all for me in Bostons. After 11.5 years of constant companionship, my sweet Ruthie (named after my mom, Ruth, as they have the same birthday) left me to go play with her Great Dane brother, Jag, on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Ruthie is the precious dog who made me fall in love with the Boston Terrier breed after being committed to Great Danes for over 20 years. Her smile (and YES, she absolutely did smile) brought me joy, laughter, and smiles even in my hard times. She was the alpha dog in our family, but never a diva or princess. Instead she was the queen, but always with grace and in the most loving, classy, and lady-like manner. She taught the puppies how to be “good dogs” and taught us humans patience, love, and tenderness for many years... though not long enough as I know I could have learned much more from her. I’ve lost a dear friend, faithful companion, and loving family member. I will cherish her love and faithfulness that are carried on through the legacy of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who still live with us. I love you pretty girl and miss you dearly..
