Swanage, the capital of the Isle of Purbeck and approximately 2.5 hours from London, is a popular seaside resort on the south coast of England, with long inviting expanses of sandy beaches, clear unpolluted water and breathtaking coastal scenery. The town provides a warm welcome to all visitors and retains an atmosphere of safety and tranquillity. In a recent publication, Dorset was found to be the safest county in England. Due to its geographical position, Swanage enjoys a very mild climate and often heads the British Sunshine League. Swanage offers a variety of entertainment including traditional English pubs, speciality restaurants, wine bars, pavement cafĂŠs, takeaways, fun parks, carnivals, fairs, festivals, live music, cinema, theatre, disco, scenic walks, museums, a ride on a historic steam train and many other things to do. Welcome to the Jurassic Coast - Swanage, listed as one of the top 4 seaside resorts in the UK for cleanliness, safety and outstanding beauty, is considered to be the gateway town to England's first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique stretch of coastline has joined the ranks of the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon as one of the wonders of the natural world. The coast is famous for its fossil discoveries, its unparalleled range of beautiful sandy beaches and its many historic towns and villages.

Junior Easter Courses

Junior Courses The first course offered at Harrow House in 1969 was a Junior Course, which makes our Junior Programme one of the most established and longest running Junior Courses in the UK. Other contributing factors are: Our unrivalled facilities, active social programmes - 7 nights a week, dedicated teachers, an international atmosphere with over 60 different nationalities (in the summer season), supervision by our residential staff, a wide range of evening sports, games and social activities, on-site residential accommodation and the safety of Swanage as a destination to name a few.
