Reading programmes for your pupils

We are Bookmark, a children’s literacy charity. Our reading programmes offer support for children in Years 1 to 5 who are at risk of not meeting the expected standard.

Our six-week programme provides two, 30-minute, one-to-one reading sessions each week, with a trained volunteer. These sessions take place online through our secure, interactive platform, alternatively face-to-face sessions are optional.

They partner with schools to develop whole-school reading cultures and to provide one-to-one reading support.

Bookmark volunteers spend one hour a week reading stories and playing games with children aged between five and ten years old, on a secure online platform. The programme involves two 30-minute sessions a week with the same child, for six weeks.

For the children who need them, Bookmark are changing their story.
