Our EF Pre-Master’s and EF Pre-MBA alumni are now studying at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT and Thunderbird, to name just a few universities. Enhance your qualifications To qualify for either program you must have a recognized bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) and the English language skills required for this level of study. For students wishing to pursue an MBA, you will normally need at least two years work experience, but it is not essential since some of our partner universities accept successful EF Pre-MBA Program graduates with less than two years work experience. A customized program The EF Pre-Master’s and EF Pre-MBA Programs are flexible in length and can be customized, giving you the possibility to study for either six or nine months. We will help build the necessary language and study skills you will need to succeed in a demanding English-speaking academic environment. Following this, you will take specialist module classes in an academic area of your choice, to help prepare you for your postgraduate degree.
English and exam training One of the goals of the EF Pre-Master’s and the EF Pre-MBA Programs is to help you perfect your specialized academic English. All university postgraduate programs require an official language proficiency score for international student admissions. These program help students achieve the highest possible scores and give you the confidence and knowledge to succeed in a competitive academic environment. Some of our Australian partner universities allow entry without taking TOEFL or IELTS after successful completion of the EF Pre-Master’s or EF Pre-MBA Program. Specialist academic modules In addition to English language tuition, the EF Pre-Master’s and EF Pre-MBA Programs offer GMAT and GRE preparation (mandatory in the US) and a variety of specialist modules that include popular subjects such as: Business Management Statistics Tourism and Hospitality Advertising Media Studies Marketing Mathematics Law Sports Science Entrepreneurship Linguistics Science Local industry experience Also included in the nine-month EF Pre-Master’s and EF Pre-MBA Programs in the UK and Australia is an optional, one-month internship, where you will have the opportunity to put your newly acquired knowledge to work in a local business. This hands-on training will be an invaluable addition to your CV and will enhance your career prospects when you begin seeking employment. By doing an internship you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment with native speakers and improve your level of English and understanding of industry-specific vocabulary. What is this program? A program that prepares university graduates for entrance to a Master’s or MBA program, 30 lessons per week (UK) 32 (in the US and Australia) lessons of 40 minutes each. Program length 6 or 9 months, start dates in January, April, June (6-month program only) & September Locations London, Cambridge, New York, Boston, San Francisco and Sydney English requirements 9-month program: IELTS 5.5 TOEFL 525 PBT/ 194 CBT/ 71 IBT or the equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test. 6-month program: IELTS 6.0 TOEFL 550 PBT/ 213 CBT/ 81 IBT or the equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test. For the UK, a SELT (Secure English Language Test) is required in order to obtain a visa (non EU passport holders only). Accreditation All EF programs worldwide are certified by Southern New Hampshire University in the USA. The British Accreditation Council accredits our schools in London, Cambridge and Oxford.
