The parent perspective The mother of EF student Ceasar Eriksson, who recently travelled abroad with EF for the first time, shares her thoughts on what it's like to send her child on a language course abroad.
The EF Leaders have been fantastic, even the local staff. Everything was so much fun, apart from when he went to see the 5D movie because it turned out to be just a regular film!
Pia spoke to the EF office in Sweden, where she met the team for a coffee to share the experience of when her son came home.
His friends are fantastic, both Swedish and international. His only wish now is to go again next summer, and how can I deny him that?"

The science behind language learning for kids What the academics and linguists are saying about language learning, and why it's key to send your child on a language course abroad. 1 Being exposed to new languages improves empathy.
The American Academy of Neurology–to cite one academic source–has referenced studies in support of this. 3 Multilingualism is linked to higher income.
2 There are health benefits to speaking other languages.
Several studies referenced by The Economist and Time have indicated that there is a correlation between multilingualism and earning potential. Children who learn languages have a better chance of reaching fluency by the time they reach adulthood too, making them more employable. They have an extra skill-set suited to an international business environment.
Speaking multiple languages regularly from youth can slow down the onset of dementia later in life by up to five years!
