EF Atlanta – The City Atlanta has a great climate with hot summers and temperatures in the winter rarely dipping below 40 degrees!
With a population of about 430,000 in the city, and 5.2 million in the Greater Atlanta Area, Atlanta is very spread out with a lot of interesting and fun neighborhoods to explore.
EF Atlanta – The City Take a ride on the MARTA, only a 10 min. walk from the school, and you can be downtown in about 20 minutes. MARTA is quick and takes you where you need to go!

EF Atlanta – In and Around Oglethorpe Don’t feel like taking the train into town? NO PROBLEM! The Oglethorpe campus has a state of the art gym, with a rock climbing wall, basketball courts, weightlifting equipment and cardio machines as well. Only a 5 min. walk from the Oglethorpe gates is a shopping center with a supermarket and a variety of restaurants and shopping options.
EF Atlanta– Oglethorpe Campus • EF Atlanta has exclusive use of Robinson Hall for classes and Schmid Residence for our dorm. • Take advantage of all the campus has to offer, including state of the art gym and athletic facilities, the newly renovated student center and dining facilities. • Short walk to public transportation and local shopping center.
EF Atlanta – Accommodation Live like a real American university student
Schmid can accommodate up to 60 students and is exclusively twin rooms. All rooms have desks and closets and the common areas are cleaned weekly.
Welcome to Schmid Residence where you will share a suite with 3 other EF Atlanta students. Each suite has two bedrooms with twin accommodations, shared common space and a shared bathroom for 4 students. The whole building has wireless capability and is wired for cable TV. An RA is on duty 24 hours for anything you need.

Some common misconceptions about EF Atlanta:
“EF Atlanta students are also Oglethorpe students.”
“Everyone in America looks the same.” Actually, Atlanta is a very diverse city and is steeped in America’s Southern traditions. Students from more homogenous societies may be surprised.
While EF Atlanta students do get to use all the Oglethorpe facilities, they are not university students and attending EF Atlanta is not conditional acceptance to Oglethorpe University.
“EF Atlanta is downtown.” While EF Atlanta is a quick ride on public transportation downtown, the university is in a suburban area with its own shopping and restaurants. Atlanta is very spread out and students will enjoy exploring the various neighborhoods and communities of Atlanta.
