What can you do with a TEFL Award?
• Teach English in local and international language schools.
• Deliver lessons in physical, blended, or online learning environments.
• Progress to more advanced qualifications, such as CELTA / CertTESOL or DELTA / DipTESOL
What you’ll learn from this course
• How to teach different skills and systems (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation)
• How to plan a lesson and manage your classroom
• How to integrate technology in your lessons
Assessment & Certification
• 2 teaching practices (30 minutes each, minimum pass grade: C)
• 3 written assignments (minimum pass grade: C)
• Only one retake per component is allowed if the initial grade is a fail
• 80% attendance required
Course Fees
The cost of the course is €250, but those in possession of an A-Level pass in English will have this paid for by the ELT Council Malta.*

Meet the trainers
Alexandra (Ali) Bianco



Ali has been working in English Language Teaching for over 20 years. She has trained hundreds of teachers on CertTESOL and TEFL Courses. She has also led several workshops in Malta and internationally She recently won the ELT Career Service Award for her dedication and positive impact on the Maltese ELT industry.

Andrea has been working in English Language Teaching for about five years. His journey began with a TEFL course taught by Ali, which sparked his passion for ELT. To further his training, he completed a CELTA and later pursued an MA in TESOL. Beyond teaching, he has also led workshops in Malta, contributing to professional development.
