SMART Board® 800 series interactive whiteboard Collaborative learning becomes an extraordinarily natural experience with the SMART Board® 800 series interactive whiteboard – now with four-touch interactivity. Up to four students can collaborate and interact with lesson content anywhere on the interactive surface. This interactive whiteboard also features a multiuser Pen Tray with buttons that make it easy to change ink colour, right-mouse click and bring up the On-Screen Keyboard.
Multi-student collaboration The 800 series supports whole-group and small-group learning and makes it easy for teachers to engage students with multiple learning styles. It also offers students more ways to learn and new opportunities to collaborate. With fourtouch interactivity, up to four students at a time can collaborate on the interactive whiteboard and interact with digital content, without boundaries. They can use different tools or their fingers to write, draw and manipulate lesson content. The 800 series supports whole-group and small-group learning and makes it easy for teachers to engage students with multiple learning styles.
An intuitive and interactive learning experience Two students can work simultaneously, using simple, intuitive multitouch gestures to interact with lesson material. They can toss, rotate or zoom in on content, or control applications in in Microsoft Windows® 7 or Mac Snow Leopard operating systems. Additionally, up to four students can each work independently, writing with a pen, erasing with a palm or moving objects with their fingers. And the experience is natural and easy – there’s no need to access on-screen menus to switch tools or select modes.

SMART Ink™ Discover a responsive and accurate writing experience with SMART Ink. It smoothes out the appearance of the digital ink, which improves the legibility of your handwriting as you write over applications, websites and videos. The ink becomes an object that you can move and manipulate.
Freestyle interaction The system enables up to four students to start working together without having to switch to a multiuser mode or work in confined areas. And each student can individually complete actions, such as writing in digital ink or moving objects with their fingers.
Object awareness The 800 series recognises when you switch between using a finger, pen and eraser. You can also write with a pen, erase with a palm and move objects with a finger, without having to press buttons, access on-screen menus or replace tools in the Pen Tray.
Save function Capture your work to SMART Notebook collaborative learning software as a screen shot that you can edit, or save your notes directly into several software applications, including Microsoft Windows versions of PowerPoint®, Word® and Excel®, as well as Adobe® Acrobat® and Autodesk® AutoCAD® software.

Durable surface The 800 series has a low-gloss surface that is optimised for projection. The surface is compatible with dry-wipe markers and magnets and is easily cleaned.
